Pesto Chicken Pizza
Savory Pesto Chicken Pizza with a Fresh Basil Pesto Sauce and Grilled Chicken
𝐈𝐧𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬:
1 pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
1/2 cup basil pesto sauce (store-bought or homemade)
1 cup cooked chicken breast, shredded or sliced
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup cherry tomatoes, halved
1/4 cup Parmesan cheese, grated
1 tablespoon olive oil, for drizzling
Fresh basil leaves, for garnish
Salt, to taste
Freshly cracked black pepper, to taste
𝐃𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬:
Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) and place a pizza stone or baking sheet inside to heat.
Roll out the pizza dough on a floured surface to your desired thickness.
Spread a thin layer of pesto sauce over the pizza dough, leaving a small border around the edges.
Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the pesto sauce.
Add the cooked chicken breast, halved cherry tomatoes, and grated Parmesan cheese on top of the mozzarella.
Season with salt and freshly cracked black pepper.
Drizzle a little olive oil over the top.
Carefully transfer the pizza to the hot pizza stone or baking sheet.
Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the crust is golden and crispy, and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Remove the pizza from the oven and garnish with fresh basil leaves before slicing and serving.
