Ingredients:


1 lb hot Italian sausage, crumbled

1 tablespoon olive oil

8 oz cream cheese, softened

1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 cup beer (lager or pale ale)

1/2 cup milk

1 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon onion powder

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper (optional, for heat)

Salt and pepper, to taste

Tortilla chips or pretzels, for serving

Instructions:


Cook Sausage:

In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add crumbled sausage and cook until browned and cooked through, about 5-7 minutes. Remove excess grease if necessary.


Make Cheese Sauce:

In a medium saucepan, combine cream cheese, cheddar cheese, mozzarella cheese, beer, milk, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, salt, and pepper. Stir over medium heat until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.


Combine:

Add the cooked sausage to the cheese sauce and stir to combine.


Serve:

Transfer the dip to a serving bowl, and serve hot with tortilla chips or pretzels for dipping.
